Description

The ceramic filter is impregnated with silver, which helps create an environment to help prevent bacterial growth, while creating a hostile environment for many other microbiological organisms.  Inside of the ceramic filter shell there is activated carbon.

Activated charcoal/carbon is great at trapping other carbon-based impurities, such as chlorine.  It reduces chlorine, particles and improves the taste and odor of water. The beneficial minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium that are dissolved in the water, stays in the water. It reduces asbestos fibers that may come from the degradation or breakdown of human-made products such as pipes.  Also works against certain bacteria.
